Что же, будем теперь ждать гала с его выступлениями. А все-таки жаль, что мы не увидели плоды сотрудничества Стефа с Петренко и Змиевской. Мне было очень интересно что же из этого выйдет на соревнованиях.

Первыми большими гала-выступлениями Стефана будут: Art on Ice в Цюрихе (29 января- 1 февраля 2009 года) и в Лозанне (3/4 февраля), Eisgala Davos (Гала в Давосе- 6/7 февраля) и Art on Ice в Сан-Морице (13 февраля).

Лос Анжелес - вот он я!
L.A. - here I am!

Hello everybody!

I’ve arrived safe and sound in Los Angeles after a very long but pleasant flight from Zurich with our lovely airline Swiss. I was so excited that I was only able to sleep one hour, so I watched the film Australia and I thought it was quite boring.

At the hotel I received my accreditation and for the first time in my life I’m not accredited as a competitor but as a guest. The last time I watched a World Championship live and I wasn’t competing myself was in Lausanne in 1997!

I went to watch one group of the ladies’ practice and I had the chance to admire the beautiful circular step sequence of Carolina Kostner’s short program.

It’s midnight right now and I am very exhausted. Tomorrow I will go to Venice Beach and afterwards I’m gonna watch the Compulsory Dance and the Pairs Short Program.

Я прибыл живым и здоровым В Лос Анжелес,после долгого, но приятного полета из Цюриха с нашей замечательной авиакомпанией Swiss . Я был взволнован, и смог поспать всего лишь час во время полета, так что я посмотрел фильм «Австралия» и думаю, что он совершенно скучный.

В гостинице я получил аккредитацию, и впервые в своей жизни я аккредитован не как участник соревнований, а как гость. В последний раз я смотрел Чемпионат Мира вживую, не являясь его участником, в 1997 году в Лозанне.

Я сходил посмотреть на тренировку одной из групп женских соревнований и получил шанс восхититься прекрасной дорожкой шагов по кругу, исполненной Каролиной Костнер для короткой программы.

Сейчас полночь, я вымотался. Завтра я хочу сходить на Venice Beach (я думала, это улица, но в ЖЖ говорят, что это пляж), а потом я собираюсь посмотреть обязательный танец и короткую программу спортивных пар.

Для всех , кто спрашивал. Ходит он на соревнования, ходит!
Странно было бы , если бы не ходил. Просто трибуны нам не показывают, в отличии от ЧЕ

Слава богу, что ходит на соревнования.На трибунах его не показывают. Думала, что с пляжа так и не вернулся.

Salut tout le monde!

First I’d like to say a few things about the competitions. As I told you, I got a great impression from Evan and Patrick in the Short Program and I’m happy that they were able to deliver again in the Long Program. Congratulations on their wonderful performances and their medals! I also enjoyed the performances of Dennis Ten, who was really amazing, and of Samuel Contesti - the rink was definitely on fire after his skate.

Ice Dancing is for me probably the most interesting discipline in figure skating because of its wonderful harmony and musicality. Almost all programs that I saw yesterday were on such a high level, which must make it very hard for the judges and I have to say that I did not quite agree with their decisions last night. My favorites were the Kerrs, Davis & White, Khokhlova & Novitski, Virtue & Moir, Pechalat & Bourzat and Carron & Jost!

Thanks a lot to all the ice dancers - you were very inspiring!

Apart from spending a lot of time at the Staples Center, I did some sightseeing with my friends Maksim Trankov and Sergei Voronov. We also went on one of those tours on a double decker which takes you around Beverly Hills, Hollywood and other famous parts of Los Angeles. One of the highlights for me was the Walk of Fame. Below you can find a piece of evidence which proves that I was really there…

In a few minutes I will go watch the ladies’ practice session to see how they’re all doing and feel the temperature rise at the rink I’m hoping for a wonderful skate for Sarah, so

A couple of weeks ago, I was at a conference of the Maasai Aid Association. MAA is a Swiss association based in Geneva who supports and fights for the rights of women and children in Kenya, especially the rights of Maasai children in need. The conference was held by Rebecca Lolosoli who is the founder of the village Umoja in Kenya. Umoja is reserved to women and their children who have fled from their husbands and families because of the injustice they have suffered from them; injustices like female genital mutilations or early forced marriages. Another big concern of theirs is the lack of education for girls. I really believe in the work of MAA and have therefore decided to support a girl from Umoja so that she can attend school and receive the education that all children deserve. One of my goals in the near future will be to pay a visit to the village of Umoja and to meet the girl I am going to support.

Sternenwoche

Once a year, UNICEF Switzerland organizes together with the magazine Schweizer Familie the Sternenwoche (”week of the stars”). During this week, children collect money in any possible way to help children in need. In 2008 the money went to a project in Laos to inform the children about the dangers of cluster bombs as there are still thousands lying around all over the country and threatening and destroying their lives (more than 2 million bombs were dropped in Laos during the Vietnam War and not even 1% has been cleared so far).

Around 10,000 children participated in the Sternenwoche and thanks to their creativity, they collected more than 420,000 Swiss Francs between the 24th and 30th November, 2008. Saturday, UNICEF held a ceremony in Zurich to award the participants with the most original ideas in four different categories. 350 children and their parents were invited to this ceremony and also to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Sternenwoche. I was invited as a surprise guest and I have to say that I am really amazed by the participants and their creativity. I was impressed by their awarness of the poverty and need in other countries. Last night, the real stars were the children and it was great to see how much they all enjoyed the event which was organized especially for them. Macht weiter so!

And I am curious to see with what ideas they come up with for this year’s Sternenwoche where they will be collecting for children in Mauretania.

Tomorrow I’m gonna travel down to Torino for my first gala of my gala marathon. I hope to see many of you there!

Раз в году швейцарский филиал UNICEF вместе с журналом "Schweizer Familie" организует Sternenwoche( неделя звёзд) . В течение этой недели дети собирают деньги различными возможными путями, чтобы помочь детям в нужде.
В 2008 году деньги пошли на проект в Лаосе , чтобы информировать детей об опасности кассетных бомб, которые всё ещё тысячами лежат по всей стране, угрожая и уничтожая их жизни (более 2 миллионов бомб было сброшено на Лаос во время Вьетнамской войны и менее 1% были ликвидированы).

Около 10000 детей участвовали в Sternenwoche и благодаря их творчеству с 24 по 30 ноября было собрано более 420000 швейцарских франков. В эту субботу UNICEF проводило церемонию в Цюрихе, на которой награждались участники с наиболее оригинальными идеями в четырех различных категориях. 350 детей и их родители были приглашены на эту церемонию, а также празднование 5-летия"Sternenwoche". Меня пригласили в качестве специального гостя и я хочу сказать, что я был изумлён участниками и их креативностью. Я ,был впечатлён их информированностью о нищете и нужде в других странах. Прошедшим вечером реальными звездами были дети и было классно наблюдать, как они радуются мероприятию, организованному специально для них. Пусть продолжается в том же духе!

И мне забавно узнать, какие идеи возникнут у них в этом году в Sternenwoche, когда они будут собирать деньги для детей в Мавритании.

Завтра я отправляюсь в Турин на свое первое гала из "марафона шоу". Надеюсь увидеть многих из вас!
